The rarest events ahead

Ranked by how exceptional they are from your location, not by date. A total eclipse returns to the same place about once a century; a full Moon, every month.

Each day shows its real Moon phase and its events. Tap any day with events for details.

Year sheet

The whole year as text, to check at a glance or print and take into the field.

To show you what can be seen from where you are, this page sends your IP address to geojs.io (or to ipwho.is if that fails), which returns your approximate city. It is used to calculate each event’s visibility, the times and the seasons.

If you decline, nothing is sent: the page will use a European city as the default location, and you can search for yours at any time in the location search.

We don’t keep any of your data. Your choice, the place you search for and your language are remembered only in your browser, and you can change your mind from the page footer.
